Educated on Google Maps

Google maps saved the day. I've never had the chance to experience the city of Chicago. I heard the summers were nice but I found myself there a couple of days after a major snow storm. I had already stayed over one night at the airport, so the idea of spending two more nights did not settle that well. I had to find a way out.  I located a bus ticket but how do I get to the South Side of Chicago from the airport? Google maps lead the way. Google gave me a stop by stop map of the journey from the airport to the bus station on the public transit. Google even included a video! My first time on public transit in Chicago took me into the bowls of the city. It was a non formal learning experience that made a definite imprint. The bus ticket was purchased on line, the directions were pulled down from the internet and my escape was officially digitized. Google offers this service for every major US airport. Take a look for yourself.
