stimulus money

Building smart cities with a portion of the 2.5 billion in stimulus is on the minds of many technology leaders at urban universities. This group is paying close attention to where the stimulus money is flowing. A portion of the stimulus package is being spent to digitize our American cities. This connectivity will hopefully include an upgrade of the inner city internet connectivity platform while pulling in the rural parts of America. Getting the rural areas connected can reduce the incentive that forces job seekers to relocate to job markets in highly populated urban cities. Small communities connected to a main urban hub could form a vibrant, digital platform that symbolizes the true information highway of the future.
