Andragogy, unlike pedagogy, moves learning from a static, one directional state into a more dynamic learning interaction. The role of a traditional teacher isn't as appropriate as the role of a facilitator within this learning context. The group thinking process is usually guided toward reaching a solution by the facilitator. The process can be organic and to an extent resemble a constructivism learning environment. A well organized and managed discussion group can be a plus for those participating in this type of learning process.
